Jennifer J. Sampson
Jennifer Sampson’s photography came to be shortly after the birth of her daughter, Savannah, in 2002. “I would get butterflies standing at the counter waiting for the film to be developed.” This experience, coupled with the loss of virtually all Jennifer’s childhood photographs, has made Jennifer a passionate shooter from a place deep in her heart. Jennifer often has her camera in hand whether she is on a shoot or on her own time. “I love to photograph flowers my daughter picks for me; at home under a slit of light by the sill …. A brilliant, moody, image of a flower.” Though Jennifer can handle the calmness of a controlled studio shoot, she prefers offbeat locations and available light. Often capturing far more than an image, Jennifer’s passion for emotional photography has taken her from portrait photography to recently having her photography featured at JF Gallery in West Palm Beach. With the addition of Michael Landry to Sampson Photography, Jennifer will now be offering wedding photography to her clients for the first time. “I know the magnitude of a bride’s wedding day and would not try to capture it without a second photographer and the right equipment. I love the romance, beauty and intense emotion of weddings. Capturing that is my honor as well as my duty as your photographer.” |

Michael Landry
Michael Landry has been behind the camera for over 15 years shooting in a variety of environments from controlled studio settings, but specializing in on-location settings including offshore sailing, hot commercial kitchens and live music venues. Michael has owned and published The Official Dining Guide to Martin and St. Lucie Counties for three years where his food photography is featured every issue. Accustomed to working in challenging environments that often include poor lighting, cramped quarters and ‘hot food’ meant for a customer's table, Michael’s edge is to produce stock quality photography against all odds. Having traveled extensively prior to owning The Dining Guide, Michael’s eye for landscapes and emotion was cultivated in The Caribbean, Central America and India. Through traveling and experiencing cultures abroad, his taste for photography on location catching life’s precious moments has been whet. Joining Sampson Photography earlier this year, Michael’s experience and approach to capturing real life images as they happen is a compliment to Jennifer’s often 'sensuous, compelling and always clever' brand of portrait photography. By merging their individual brands, Michael and Jennifer’s photography captures the passion and unique beauty of their subjects using both of their traditional and low light techniques. |
